31 days to inform and raise awareness on the importance of bulk consumption and to support the sector

MARCH, BULK MONTH

"March, bulk month" is an initiative by Réseau Vrac (international trade association created in 2016, based in France, entirely dedicated to boosting bulk), to support all stakeholders in the sector (bulk retailers, organic shops, bulk product manufacturers...) and raise awareness to the importance of bulk as much as possible.

Therefore, in March, from 1 to 31, it is the Month of the Bulk in France, with Portugal joining this celebration and public action for the first time, through the Liga-Ação platform, uniting consumers, distributors, activists, environmental associations around this cause - and with the support of other entities - (ZERO, DECO, European Commission, among others). Throughout the month, bulk will be at the centre of a full communication campaign (print, digital and events), with the aim of raising consumer awareness of the environmental and economic benefits of this method of consumption.

At a critical time of uncertainty for society in general and for this sector in particular, this is a unique opportunity to mobilise people for this cause and unite the sector, highlighting, across the country, the projects that daily fight to make bulk an accessible reality and increasingly present in everyday life as a tool for climate action, at the service of achieving SDG 12: responsible consumption and production.
