Where do you find wellness in your neighborhood?

“CITY PORTRAITS” is a creative photographic and interpretive activity on the experiences of community well-being and sustainability in the territories covered by the BipZip2020 project “Chain Impact Movement (CIM)” promoted by Zero Waste Lab and a consortium of local partnerships.

We invite Lisboetas to photograph the neighborhoods of Marvila, Lumiar, Ajuda and São Vicente, with the motto: Where do you find well-being in your neighborhood?

One morning, through the production of photographic images, it is intended that they contribute to the identification of spaces, actions, equipment and potential that promote the social and environmental prosperity of the neighborhood for a fairer, more inclusive and sustainable city. At the end of the initiative, it is expected to return the result of the works collected in a photographic exhibition, in a public space.

This activity was developed by the Photographic Expression Movement, and will be facilitated by its members.

Guide "CITY PORTRAITS":

1) PRESENTATION SESSION (ONLINE): June 29 from 16:00 to 17:30. We will present the program of the photographic journey and introduce the inspiration of the power of Photography, with the MEF - Movimento de Expressão Fotográfica team.

2) PHOTOGRAPHIC SESSION OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD (IN-PERSON): They will use photography as a means of exploring their own daily life, reflecting on the question: Where do you find well-being in your neighbourhood?

4 territories, 4 dates:
Marvila - July 10 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm
Ajuda - July 17 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm
Lumiar - July 18 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm
São Vicente - July 24 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm

3) VISUALIZATION AND INTERPRETATION SESSION (ONLINE): We will discover the different perspectives of the neighborhood, interpret each photograph and jointly choose the most representative of community well-being and sustainability.

Marvila - July 13th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Lumiar - July 20 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Ajuda - July 20th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm
São Vicente - July 27 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm

4) MONSANTO EXHIBITION: On October 1st, the exhibition of photographs “CITY PORTRAITS” was inaugurated at Espaço Monsanto.

Regulation:

- All interested parties can participate, without prior knowledge of professional photography;
- All interested parties can participate, either individually or in the form of participation by a collective of up to 4 people;
- All interested parties can participate in 1 or more editions of "CITY PORTRAITS" (see the dates of the in-person sessions);
- It's free to participate.

1. Registration through the registration form. We will then send you the confirmation of your registration and the recording of the framing session of the initiative, held on June 29;

2. In order to participate, you will have to agree with the authorization and use of the dissemination of the photographs chosen for purposes included in the CIM project;

3. On the day of the activity (see dates above), bring a hat, water, comfortable shoes, and most importantly, your phone camera or a digital camera!
